I'm going to have to backup my save game, I don't think I could handle that. If you feel inclined to do it again and you need a coop partner, I'm always down. I actually play the game almost always in co-op with a RL friend who lives close by and since we played the main game together like three times (veteran the first time, a quick play through to get the infinite RLs, and then just recently finished a professional run-through), I figured that maybe I could use his save game and get it on to my Xbox 360 by using both of our HDDs and a memory card. It wouldn't be exactly the same as my old save game, but it would have been similar enough.

Long story short, the game transfered to the memory card from his HDD ok, but then when I tried to transfer it from the memory card to my HDD, it is telling me 'This item cannot be transfered between profiles'. So now I want to burn down Capcom AND Microsoft. I highly recommend you back up your RE5 profile. After looking around online this appears to be, as Tom said, something that is happening to quite a few people, though not quite enough to cause a shitstorm over it. I'm covered in having enough memory cards of varying sizes. There's the 64 MB card I originally bought, then the 512MB one that I bought when it was really cheap on Amazon for a day, and then the 256MB one I got with my backup Arcade 360.

Thanks for the heads up. Coca Cola Zero: Not sure if anyone cares anymore but according to this thread: Capcom FINALLY fixed the bug causing these save game file corruptions. Unfortunately the Xbox 360 update hasn't been pushed out yet.

I'll probably start playing RE5 again now. I haven't touched it in a while for fear I'd eventually run into the glitch again and lose any progress I got. Thanks for the update, that's a little more peace of mind.
